Since about 1995, making software has been a big part of my life. It started off as a hobby, and from 2002 it has also been my professional life.
My work experience includes working on AAA video games, gaming companion apps, and a multitude of social-, marketing- and gaming-oriented websites, both as a developer and as a manager.

The main reason I love working with software is that it's creative work. Building. Making stuff. Willing the gears to turn. That's an exhilarating process for me. I just love seeing things come to life, and then gradually refining and improving on it through cycles of iterative improvement.

Software engineering constantly challenges you and requires you to keep always learning, always improving. It's such a young field, and things are still developing at breakneck velocity, and it's thrilling to be along for the ride.

In my career, I've been fortunate enough to get to work with some of the very best in the field, and it's a humbling and deeply formative experience.

Over the years, my curiosity and the requirements of the task at hand have lead me to acquire a diverse skillset of both hard and soft skills.

A natural development for many people in the field is to drift away from pure production as their career path requires them to focus more on management. While I throughly enjoy managing both projects, processes and people, I don't see myself ever fully abandoning writing code. I need that hands-on creativity in my life.
